Brady Masten

BA, CT (Counselor Trainee)

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” -Carl Rogers

Brady is currently in his practicum while pursuing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Toledo. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University, where he first developed a deep appreciation for the complexity of human behavior and the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. In his clinical training, Brady is gaining experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and identity related concerns. Beyond the therapy room, Brady continues to deepen his clinical knowledge through ongoing training, research, and supervision. He is committed to culturally responsive care and is always striving to expand her understanding of diverse identities, experiences, and therapeutic needs.

Driven by a genuine interest in how people grow through adversity and change, Brady approaches counseling with a balance of curiosity, empathy, and clinical intention. His work is grounded in person centered values and informed by evidence based practices that emphasize both the emotional and cognitive aspects of well being. He believes in meeting clients exactly where they are, whether that’s in a moment of struggle, self discovery, or something in between, and walking with them toward meaningful, lasting change. He is especially passionate about working with young adults and college aged individuals, helping them navigate the often complicated intersections of self, relationships, and future goals. He values creating a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their own narratives.
