Alexa Levison
MA, Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR Trained
“When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified... deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.” -Carl Rogers
Alexa holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Toledo, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University.
Alexa believes healing happens through connection, curiosity, and a compassionate presence. She specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults as they navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, school stress, and life transitions.
Alexa integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches including EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, person-centered, and strengths-based modalities. Her style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in empathy. Alexa aims to create a space where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore their stories, and discover new ways of moving forward.
During her clinical training, she completed her internship at the Karuna House and provided in-school mental health counseling at Lial Catholic School and Stryker Local Schools. There, she supported students ages 5-18 with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns, an experience that continues to shape her passion for working with youth and families today.
Above all, she sees therapy as a space for self-discovery, growth, and healing, a place where your voice matters and your story is honored.
